Cookies and local storage

A session cookie identifies you after you sign in. It is first-party, HTTP-only, and required: without it the app cannot keep you signed in. A short-lived cookie also protects the sign-in forms against cross-site request forgery, and another remembers which workspace you last opened.

Your interface language is stored in a cookie so a return visit opens in the language you chose. Your answer to the analytics banner is stored in a cookie for 180 days so we do not ask again. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device.

Our product analytics is Google Analytics 4, and it is switched on only where the analytics banner appears. It loads after you accept: decline, or visit a page with analytics switched off, and no Google script and no analytics cookie reach your browser. It runs without advertising identifiers, with IP anonymisation, and we do not enable Google advertising features. Google retains this data for at most 14 months. You can change your mind by clearing your browser cookies for this site, which brings the banner back.

Checkout and billing management are hosted by our payment provider, Stripe, which sets its own cookies on its own pages. The images you see inside MangaMade are served from our own storage.

Every browser lets you list, block and delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking essential cookies signs you out and prevents sign-in; clearing local storage only resets your theme choice.
