What is a credit?
One credit is one generated image at 1K resolution: a panel, or a regeneration of it. A splash panel at 2K costs 2 credits, a character model sheet 2 credits and a style reference 1 credit. Planning a chapter, editing the script, lettering, composing pages and exporting cost nothing.
What happens when a panel fails?
Credits are reserved when you start a generation and spent only when the image arrives. A panel that fails, or that an image provider refuses, returns its credit automatically.
Who owns the art?
You own the pages you make, to the extent the law allows, and you can publish them, commercially included. MangaMade keeps a licence only to render, store and serve them for you. Copyright in AI-generated images is not settled in every country: your story, script, edits, page layout and lettering are the parts most clearly protected. The terms of service explain it in full.
Can I use my own characters?
Yes, as long as they are yours. Describe them, or upload reference art you drew or have the right to use, and MangaMade builds a model sheet from it. Characters from other people's series, franchises and trademarks, and real, identifiable people, are refused.
Which formats can I export?
PNG pages in a ZIP, a PDF, a CBZ for comic reader apps, or a vertical webtoon strip sliced for upload. Manga pages read right to left, comic and manhua pages left to right, and webtoons scroll vertically. Every export is free; without a paid plan, exports carry a watermark.
Do credits expire?
Plan credits are granted for each billing period and expire at its end. Top-up credits last 12 months from purchase. The free credits of a new account expire 30 days after sign-up. Cancelling a plan stops the next renewal; the credits of the current period stay usable until it ends.
