AI manga generator

MangaMade is an AI manga generator that turns a written story into a finished manga chapter. It plans the chapter script, keeps the cast consistent with character model sheets, draws every panel with AI in the series style, lays the pages out to read right to left, letters the dialogue on its own editable layer and exports PNG pages, a PDF or a CBZ.

How MangaMade makes manga

Reading direction
Right to left, starting from the top-right panel. Layouts are mirrored and balloons are placed in right-to-left order; the direction can be switched in the series settings until a chapter has pages.
Layout
2:3 portrait pages of 1400 × 2100 px, laid out from eleven templates, from a one-panel splash page to a grid of six.
Colour
Starts from the Manga ink preset, black and white with screentone shading. Any of the ten style presets works with the format, colour included.
Lettering
Panels are drawn without any text. Dialogue, captions and sound effects sit on an editable layer, in more than 30 languages, including Japanese and right-to-left Arabic and Urdu.
Exports
PNG pages, a PDF that opens right to left, or a CBZ flagged as right to left for comic reader apps. A read-only share link turns pages the same way.
Credits
1 credit per panel at 1K, 2 credits for a one-panel splash page at 2K, 2 credits per character model sheet and 1 credit for the series’ style reference. Planning, lettering and exports are free, and a panel that fails returns its credit.

How it works

How to make a manga with AI

You make the decisions at every step: MangaMade drafts, you edit, and nothing is drawn until you ask for it.

  1. Start a manga series

Pick the manga format, a style such as Manga ink and the dialogue language, then describe the premise, the setting and the tone.

  2. Build the cast

Describe each character or upload your own reference art. A model sheet, with a turnaround and a set of expressions, costs 2 credits and keeps them recognisable in every panel.

  3. Plan the chapter

Paste an outline, a scene or prose. The planner splits it into pages and panels with shots, settings and dialogue, and keeps reveals for the panel after a page turn. Edit any line before anything is drawn.

  4. Draw the panels

Each panel is drawn for 1 credit in the series style, against the characters’ model sheets and without any text. Redraw any panel with a note and keep the version you like.

  5. Letter and export

Balloons, captions and sound effects are placed from the script in right-to-left order. Adjust them, then download PNG pages, a PDF or a CBZ, or share a read-only link.

FAQ

Questions about the AI manga generator

Anything else, and the answer is one email away.

  • Is there a free AI manga generator?

MangaMade gives every new account 15 free credits, valid for 30 days, with no card required: enough for a model sheet, a style reference and two five-panel pages. Until you choose a paid plan, exports carry a small watermark.

  • Can AI turn my story into a manga?

Yes. Write a brief in plain prose and the planner turns it into a script of pages and panels with dialogue. You can edit every line before anything is drawn; then the panels are drawn in the series style and lettered.

  • Do the pages read right to left?

Yes. Manga pages read right to left from the top-right panel, with mirrored layouts and balloons placed in the same order, and the PDF, the CBZ and share links keep that order. For a manga-style series that reads left to right, switch the reading direction in the series settings before any chapter has pages.

  • Does the AI write the text inside the panels?

No. Panels are drawn without any text. Dialogue, captions and sound effects sit on a separate lettering layer, so you can fix a typo or re-letter the chapter in another language without redrawing anything.

  • Can I use characters from a manga I love?

No. MangaMade draws original characters only: names of existing characters, franchises and trademarks are refused, and so are real, identifiable people. Describe your own cast, or upload reference art you made or have the right to use.
